Torrey Pines boys basketball picked up three wins in four games at the fifth annual LSBA Fall Shootout, held Saturday, Sept. 12, and Sunday, Sept. 13, at San Diego City College.

Junior Tyler Humphrey led the Falcons across all four contests. The 6-foot-6, 200-pound small forward averaged 20 points and 7 rebounds per game, shooting 30-of-43 from the field and 17-of-19 from the free-throw line, according to the program's official account on X.

That field-goal percentage: 69.8%. From the stripe, 89.5%.

Torrey Pines opened with a 56-41 win over ABC Prep, then edged Cleveland 55-48. The Falcons beat Dougherty Valley 61-53 before dropping their lone game, 41-28, to Davinci.

The tournament drew 36 teams from four states to Harry West Gymnasium on the City College campus.

Humphrey, a Class of 2027 recruit who plays both small forward and shooting guard, is listed at 6-foot-6 and 200 pounds on his Hudl profile. He showed a similar scoring touch over the summer, posting 20 points alongside teammate Lucas Albright in a 67-59 win over Clovis on June 27. Both players recorded double-doubles in that game, according to the program's account on X.

The Falcons play under head coach John Olive, now in his 30th season leading the program. Olive's career record stood at 647-217 through the 2024-25 season, a 75% winning percentage, according to the Torrey Pines basketball website. The program claims eight CIF San Diego Section championships and 28 league titles.

In the 2025-26 season, Torrey Pines earned a No. 13 seed in the CIF State Division 2 playoffs, opening on the road against No. 4 Olympian High School.

The Falcons' 2026-27 regular-season schedule has not been released.
