Chase Woolley hauled in eight catches for 159 yards and a touchdown as Santa Fe Christian routed Isidore Newman School 41-7 in New Orleans on Thursday, Sept. 10.

The win pushed coach Jon Wallace's reigning CIF San Diego Section Division II champions to 4-0. The Solana Beach school has outscored opponents 191-27 through four games.

Woolley, a senior receiver, entered the game leading San Diego County with 426 receiving yards. His longest catch against Newman covered 71 yards. Cornell-bound senior quarterback Dax Labrum threw five touchdown passes, hitting four different receivers for scores.

"Chase is the best receiver in the county, and whatever college gets him hit the jackpot," Labrum told The Coast News after the win. "It's a blessing to have him on my team."

Cruz Campbell caught three passes for 58 yards and two touchdowns. Jake Squires added three catches for 54 yards and two scores. Baylen Brees, son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Drew Brees, chipped in four catches for 27 yards and a touchdown. He also threw a trick-play touchdown pass to Squires.

Drew Brees, who serves as the Eagles' passing game coordinator, was on the sideline in his former NFL home city. The elder Brees spent 15 seasons as the New Orleans Saints' quarterback.

He was inducted into the Hall of Fame on Aug. 8 in Canton, Ohio.

The trip included a Wednesday visit to the Saints' Ochsner Sports Performance Center, where Drew and Baylen Brees toured the facility with the team, according to the New Orleans Saints. Baylen Brees told VSN after the game that playing in his father's former city felt surreal, calling having his dad coach him the greatest gift he could ever have, The Coast News reported.

Woolley battled a knee injury throughout the 2025 season but still caught 59 passes for 680 yards and six touchdowns. He has picked up where he left off, leading the Eagles' aerial attack as they chase a second straight section title. Santa Fe Christian went 13-0 last season before winning the CIF San Diego Section Division II championship with a 44-41 victory over Steele Canyon, according to CalHiSports.

In the county rankings published Monday, Sept. 14, the Eagles sit at No. 8. Torrey Pines, which beat Mount Miguel 44-6 in Week 4, is No. 11 at 3-1.

Santa Fe Christian travels to Army-Navy on Friday, Sept. 18. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
